Toronto’s most authentic Italian kitchen
Opened in 2013, Buca has become a staple in Toronto’s culinary scene. When Co-founders Peter Tsebelis and Gus Giazitzidis opened the first location in 2009, they gutted the big boilers from bottom floor of the Scholastic building and created a hole, buca in italian, and created a simple, rustic, familial Italian escape.
The food menu is designed and printed each afternoon, taking inspiration from seasonal produce and ingredients. The wine menu articulated Master Sommelier Giuseppe Marchesini’s vast knowledge of Italian wines into a poetic journey for Buca’s patrons.
